The Stats Don’t Lie!
You’ve probably heard the daunting statistics on sexual assault. In fact, according to RAIN* every 68 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted. And, out of every 1,000 rapists, only about 25 end up in prison. Sexual assaults can happen anywhere including college campuses.
Know Someone Going to College? They could be at a greater risk right now!
Sexual violence may occur at a higher rate at certain times of the year with more than 50% of college sexual assaults occurring in August through November.* That means we are in what is known as The Red Zone with more students being at risk right now!
Sister Safety Month was created by Damsel in Defense Pros and was shared through a presentation by Lori Osmond.
