The rising generation is the most connected it has ever been in history; however, it is also the loneliest generation and generations before are also feeling the lonely bug. We say it is time to break those digital barriers and meet up to discuss some of the most important topics in today’s society – personal safety.

Where do I start?

The best place to start is by figuring out how many women to invite to your party! We recommend 8-10 women over 18 years old, due to the topics at hand, as a good start or gather your sorority sisters, book club, running club, or college wing for an even bigger party.

Do I Pick a Theme?

If you would like to, our Damsel Safety Educators would be thrilled to partner with you on figuring out a theme to go along with your party! Some themes can include:

  • Sips n Safety
  • Murder Mystery (Stalker Awareness)
  • Kart x Comms (Vehicle Safety)

Sips n Safety

This is a perfect idea for your first Empower Hour Party! Gather your girls together and have everyone bring a drink of their choice for a tasting or provide a classic drink to sip on as you learn about the safety topic of your choice! Contact your local Damsel Safety Educator here for the full list of topics available.

Murder Mystery

Learn about stalker awareness by setting up the perfect murder mystery game! Work with your local Damsel Safety Educator and your favorite murder mystery game to learn how to avoid being the next victim of a Michael Myers.

Kart x Comms

Vehicle Safety is one of the most important and yet overlooked safety topics and we want to tackle it with you on the Mario Kart track! Set up a Mario themed party and gather all your friends for a Mario Kart tournament ending with an insightful presentation on how to keep yourself safe after a banana peel pops out in front of you!

Should I Provide Food?

The time of day you host your party is a big indicator of whether or not guests will expect food. It is always a good rule of thumb to provide some finger foods or refreshments for guests. Depending on the topic, you can also invite friends to potluck snacks that reflect the topic at hand. For example, you can ask everyone to bring a Mario themed snack or a mini charcuterie board for the Sips n Safety!

What is the commitment to hosting?

The amazing part of hosting alongside a Damsel Safety Educator is you do not have to place any orders outside your own and you can be as more or as little involved as desired. Our trained Educators are set up to send out emailed invitations, place orders, and help with placing your hostess order so you can be confident your friends will be taken care of!

The major commitment only consists of helping to run the event the day of and any preparations you choose to do the day, or a couple of days, before.

Who Do I Contact?

You will want to contact the closest Damsel Safety Educator to you here for more information about hosting with them. Even if there is not an Educator close to you, we recommend reaching out as they may be willing to travel or know someone closer to you if that is what you prefer.
